Voltr, a service operated by Voltr, Inc. ("Voltr," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your right to request deletion of personal data we hold about you. This page describes how to request deletion of your data.
Depending on your relationship with Voltr and the data we hold, deletion may include:
Some data may not be deleted immediately where retention is required or permitted for tax, accounting, billing, chargeback, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, enforcement of agreements, platform compliance, or backup integrity.
You can request deletion in either of the following ways.
Option 1: Delete your account in the app (fastest). If you have a Voltr account, sign in and open Settings → Delete Account. Confirming there immediately submits a full account and data deletion request to our privacy request queue. We email you to confirm, then permanently delete your Voltr account and associated data, subject to the retention exceptions noted on this page.
Option 2: Email us. Use this if you cannot sign in, if you are requesting deletion of a specific platform integration or category of data rather than your whole account, or if you are a creator, parent, guardian, or other authorized party making a request on someone's behalf.
We may need to verify your identity or authority before completing a deletion request. If you are requesting deletion on behalf of an organization, creator, end customer, child, or another individual, we may request information confirming your authority to make the request.
Voltr records verified deletion, redaction, access, deauthorization, and platform-related privacy requests in an internal privacy request queue. The queue records the request source, request type, affected platform or workspace, applicable due date, current status, and completion or exception notes.
Queue entries are created automatically when you submit an in-app account deletion from Settings, and from Shopify privacy webhooks, Meta deauthorization and data deletion callbacks, TikTok Shop seller deauthorization webhooks, and user-initiated platform disconnects. Email requests are reviewed and added to the queue after verification.
A queue entry is an audit and workflow record. Some requests can be completed automatically, while others require review to confirm identity, scope, legal retention duties, billing or security exceptions, platform data lineage, or whether the request is for platform disconnection, platform data deletion, workspace deletion, or full Voltr account deletion.
Timeline. We generally delete or de-identify data covered by a verifiable deletion request within 30 days of receipt, unless a different period is required or permitted by applicable law.
For requests tied to third-party platform requirements, including Meta, TikTok, TikTok Shop, Instagram, Shopify, or another platform's developer or data deletion requirements, we delete, de-identify, restrict, or render inaccessible the affected data within the timeframe required by the platform, typically within 7 days where platform terms require that timing. Platform-related queue items are assigned due dates so they can be reviewed and completed on time.
For statutory privacy rights requests, our response period may vary by law. For many U.S. state privacy laws, we respond within 45 days where required. For GDPR requests, we generally respond within one month unless an extension is permitted by law.
Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups until those backups are overwritten or expire in the ordinary course. Backup data is isolated from active systems and is not restored except for disaster recovery, security, legal, or compliance purposes.
If you connected your Meta, TikTok, TikTok Shop, Instagram, Shopify, or other third-party account to Voltr, you can also revoke Voltr's access directly inside that platform's settings. Revoking platform access stops Voltr from making further API calls on your behalf and is recorded in our privacy request queue when Voltr receives the revocation or you disconnect the integration in Voltr, but it does not automatically delete data Voltr already collected or your Voltr account.
To delete data Voltr already collected through a platform integration, email contact@getvoltr.com using the process above.
For Shopify integrations, Voltr also processes Shopify privacy webhooks relating to customer data access requests, customer redaction requests, and shop redaction requests, including customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact. When we receive a valid Shopify privacy webhook, we acknowledge receipt, record the request in our privacy request queue, and complete the required access, deletion, redaction, or shop-level deletion action within the timeframe required by Shopify and applicable law, unless retention is legally required or permitted.
For Meta integrations, Voltr processes deauthorization and data deletion callbacks through our privacy request queue. When we receive a valid callback, we remove or disable the affected local connection credentials and review related cached platform data for deletion, de-identification, restriction, or retention exceptions based on the scope of the request.
For TikTok, TikTok Ads, and TikTok Shop integrations, Voltr records user-initiated disconnects and TikTok Shop seller deauthorization events in the privacy request queue. Depending on the request scope, we remove or disable connection credentials, stop further API calls, and delete, de-identify, restrict, or render inaccessible affected platform data where required by applicable law or platform requirements.
If you are a creator, parent, or guardian and believe Voltr has processed creator data relating to you or a minor, contact contact@getvoltr.com with the subject line: Creator Data Request. We will review verifiable requests in accordance with applicable law and platform requirements.
If you want a copy of your data before deletion, request an export before or at the same time as your deletion request. Once deletion is complete, some data may no longer be recoverable.
